Granlen’s management team has many years of experience in the global pharmaceutical industry. Our experiences cover organic synthesis, natural product and total synthesis, medicinal and bioorganic chemistry, heterocyclic and macrocyclic chemistry including nucleosides, nucleotides and nucleic acids, combinatorial chemistry, immumochemistry, computer-aided drug design, analytical methods and method development, and various biological and molecular biological techniques.

Prior to founding Granlen, Dr. An served as director of chemistry and pharmaceuticals for Acea Biosciences where he discovered and led fluorapacin, a novel microtubule inhibitor, through IND approval and into clinical trials for the treatment of cancers. Dr. Stevens was appointed as VP of business development for Granlen in January 2009. Prior to joining Granlen, Dr. Stevens had been completing his MBA and served as a team leader and medicinal chemist at Exelixis (formerly X-Ceptor Therapeutics) where he integrated automation into the discovery program, streamlined research, and led several advancements.
